So I finally got around to doing a complete retubing of my Sig:X yesterday. Once I got everything situated, I checked the bias of the old power tubes and found they were .090 and .065 VDC for LP and HP, respectively. Once I put in new KT88s and a new rectifier tube, they were much closer to .140/.110 and I adjusted the bias just fine.

Is it normal in worn power tubes for the bias to be THAT far away?

*Note: this was my first time biasing on my own, and it went smoothly! I have to thank other posters on this forum for having detailed information in other threads about biasing and tubes that really helped! Thanks!
