    Default First impressions ... wow

Yeh finally got to have a bit of a razz on this thing and i just want to be locked away for a week so i can fully get into everything its got to offer ..though unfortunately thats not going to happen ... great sounding amp..very impressive.. i seem to have an issue with the reverb feedbacking with only the slightest amount applied ,though im hoping its just a bad tube in there somewhere (its not the reverb driver ,havnt got to the others yet) will post more when i get a chance to have a bit more of a play and swap some tubes around... part from not getting to check out the verb propely yet i reckon its going to be a desert island amp ..hopefully ill get washed up with my voodoo labs wah and tremolo and ill be set !

All you have to do, is to stick a strap of foam rubber on the sides and bottom of the reverb tank and the unwanted noise is gone

mk ..second impressions ! finally got a chance to take this out and give it a bit of a workout , theres a hell of lot of ground to cover in that amp but i just wanted to have as much high volume fun in the couple of hours i had ...its real easy to get great sounds out of this thing , put the tone controls anywhere between 11 and 2 and you cant go wrong , then flick switches to suit .. and bloody hell this things loud! and i was outside with no ext cab..for a 1x12 it sounds huge.. on the downside i was hoping to have a more tameable amp to play at home ,thought 30/18 watts would be easier to ht a sweet spot in then a 100 watter.. well i was wrong , possibly due to being class a and or having no master volume or both ,soon as it hits 1 or just on , youll reach blah blah blah i cant hear the tv levels etc , also class a clean channel noise might be slightly annoying for super low volume use , havnt tried my decimator G on it ,would probably work i guess ,that said it wasnt designed for bedroom so not a bad thing ,just saying... anyway the rest is all good .. amazing sounding clean and drive channels with excellent crossover , i got excellent crunch out of the clean channel and vice versa ..they interact so well, like nothing else ive played ..also both my guitars have split humbuckers and this is ideal for this amp i.m.o. .. summing up for now loads of fun to play, it really takes you away easily into the zone which is what i look for in an amp , really versatile good blend of vintage and modern tones ..im not 100% sure the cleans as good as i remember the ST to be though that could be "i only remember the good times scenario" it was a long time ago anyway its real good , entirely different ,loads more gain on both channels .. well for me the classic is still the king though its running 4 speakers and a tc g major but as a stand alone 1x12 amp ive yet to hear better ! good job fellas !

It is my experience one watt can be pretty loud .... when using gain / enough speakers with a guitar amp.
No Master or Class A has little to do with it. But a Master designed for very low volumes can be effective in some amps.

To get a cranked guitar amp sound at TV volumes we are talking about less than 1/2 watt. Watts are not dB's / very different thing but relevant..... you would also need a speaker / cab designed for this application to get the best results. I have yet to find this speaker / cab.
At amp fest I have been at I noticed a lot of people were trying to get a "AC/DC" type sounds at bedroom / TV volumes. My thoughts have been maybe a cab / speaker that is very inefficient and could take a 50/100 watt amp and only produce TV/ bedroom volumes. Would be great for recording / etc.
Personally I think this could have the potential to make a lot of money...
Have a cab for at home / low volumes ....and a other for louder volumes/etc.

The fact that Stephen appears from nowhere, is sentenced to death in an emotional public trial without anyone interfering at all and is then altogether forgotten as if nothing happened, is already suspicious.

Yeh i was suprised how quick the volume comes up on this , for one reason or another i can play my 100watt 2x12 combo @ full power with an ext cab at home ,no probs , not sounding like a cranked amp of course but sounding good none the less , with the Memphis as soon as minimum volume hits and all frequencies are present its too loud for this ... no biggie ,just suprised .. i had a go at patching the Memphis loop though like i said the Classic is easier to play at low volume... yes the speaker thing could make someone a lot of money though i guess theres plently of load boxes out there , havnt tried that option not sure how the speaker responds ,im guessing it must take something away so you could really have a good idea there ....
