Default Been gone for a Bit....

I but some 6550 power tubes in my D-60...I like it alot better then the KT88's...just feels a little old school to me...I did lose some of the headroom on cleans, but the crunch is tighter and has that old school snap...

Well I found out I had cancer in my larynx in JAN. and had to go trough the chemo & radiation..no fun at all...I am getting back to some what normal and back at work...
    Its nice to be back....corky

I have never had cancer but it has effected me more than anything in this world .... glad to hear things are getting better. .... and glad to see you back here.
The fact that Stephen appears from nowhere, is sentenced to death in an emotional public trial without anyone interfering at all and is then altogether forgotten as if nothing happened, is already suspicious.

I was wondering where you had gone Corky. Glad you're back. If you can, post some vids of the amp with the 6550's in it. I'd love to compare them to your earlier ones.

Welcome back Corky! Glad to hear you're beating that bitch back.
P.S. Which 6550? I personally like the Tung-Sol RI if I was going to go he 6550 route.
    Take care.

I put in GT 6550 rated very hard for big headroom...It made it way tighter sounding and more english snap in the high end...

    Feeling better & stronger everyday...

Brian Kahanek is coming up for the weekend to hang & jam..man I hope I can drink a beer...
