Is it easy to remove the entire board from the case?

    thanks.
The PCB is possibly throughplated which would mean that the solder flows to the bottom too even if you only solder on top. I don't quite remember tbh, it's been too long...

Which locations are for just the rhythm and lead, I want to keep the clean channel as is.

e.g. are R1 and R11 for the clean?

From reading the description I'd just do step 8 and 9 first, see how you like it and if needed play around with step 10 for a bit.
This would leave the clean unchanged and increase gain on rhythm and lead.

Any clips or mod info with the head units?

i'd like some clips too if anyone has some. just picked up a GP3 and like it with a boost pedal in the lead channel and dont want to have to use one if I dont have to.

I'd like to know - what is the High Gain mod where the resistor and the cap is replaced for the lead channel actually doing? Is is altering plate voltages? Increasing the range of input signal voltage possible through the gain pot or something else?

Steve Fryette or anyone else if you can shed some light on this it'd be great.

On the lead channel when you replace the 475K resistor with a lower value to increase gain - how low can you go with this resistor?

Would values between say 10K and 50K be acceptable for use?

UPDATE - added another 100K resistor in parallel to the existing 100K - now I do not need a boost pedal of any kind and I get none of the compression that brings. Sounds f'n amazing with gain dimed and power amp cranked up. What a beast of a preamp this is

Will replace tomorrow with single 50K for a clean mod unless someone from support informs me 50K there is unhealthy for it.

Tube rolled for a couple of hours tonight and ended up with the following:

    V1: Sovtek WB
    V2: Ruby (Shuguang)
    V3: Ruby (Shuguang)
    V4: Ruby (Shuguang)
    V5: Tung-Sol
    V6: Sovtek WB

I originally had the Sovtek WB's in V1 and V2 but swapping V6 with V2 and adding the Tung Sol in V5 added a touch more gain without being too upper mid peaky (I tried all Tung Sols and didn't like the cleans at all).
