The ones which sound really really good and Improve on the VHT's sound:

Ibanez tube king 999 (all time favorit for me with VHT)
Time machiene boost
Boss Japanese OD-1 (Great with low gain for that jake e lee sound)
Furman PQ-3 greenplate EQ (used as an overdrive)

The ones I think are good pedals but don't improve on the VHT sound just alter it.

BOSS DS-1 ultra by keeley
BOSS SD-1 STAR5 by keeley
Fulltone 69 pedal
RAT II bij keeley
Tubescreamer reissue TS-9
Tubescreamer reissue TS-10
Tubescreamer reissue TS-808 vintage mod by analog man
Treblebooster by BSM
Ritchie blackmore treble booster by BSM
Java boost by keeley

Then about 30 pedals which sound absolutly not good with VHT.

(Too many to list)

This is of course all just my interpretation of things.

Bit of a late reply but oh well: Mobelec: did you ever notice tonecoloring from the TK999 when it's off ? I have one to, which I rarely use btw, and I suspect it from altering the tone even when it's not engaged. Kind of like there's clean boost or linedriver on all the time...

Can you guys discuss the effect that the Time Machine Boost has on the VHT sound? What sort of tones did you get out of it? Any info would be much appreciated. I guess I'm looking for more variety of gain tones with the ULX.

Any thoughts on the OCD as well?

Thanks again.
